A recent systematic review and meta-analysis investigated the effectiveness of red light therapy (RLT) on wound healing. The investigators analyzed a vast number of clinical trials to determine the favorable effects of RLT on different types of wounds, including surgical ulcers and burns. The results indicated that RLT can significantly accelerate
